In 2010, my sister was married in Destin, FL. I realized then that I
would prefer driving to the Gulf Panhandle over the East Coast to see
the ocean. The waters are more clear, and the sand is more white. In
October 2017 we visited Panama City Beach for the first time and stayed
at Hampton Inn and Suites. It was a terrific stay! The hotel was
upscale, the water temperatures and weather were great, and the views
were great. As a bonus, in October the crowds are virtually gone - and
we got a display of fireworks at the end of our stay!
